AMD processors: five new Ryzen

AMD has published new processors as planned to expand the offer for the socket AM4 and also to oppose intels in terms of value very strong pedestals 1200 and 1700 CPUs more. For gamers, the three already available in trading Ryzen 5000 models are particularly interesting. It is the AMD Ryzen 5 5500 and 5600 as well as the Ryzen 7 5700x, all three based on the current Zen 3 architecture.

Five new AMD Ryzen CPU

Also new, but not available from stock, the AMD Ryzen 3 4100 and Ryzen 5 4500, which are still set to Zen 2, just like the Ryzen 3000er models. As follows, the five new CPUs look in detail:

• Ryzen 3 4100 (Renoir-X), 4 cores (3,8-4.0 GHz), 8 threads, from 109 Euro prescribed
• Ryzen 3 4500 (Renoir-X), 6 cores (3,6-4.1 GHz), 12 threads, from 139 Euro prescribed

* Ryzen 5 5500 (Cezanne), 6 cores (3,6-4.2 GHz), 12 threads, from 165 Euro already available * Ryzen 5 5600 (Vermeer), 6 cores (3.5-4.44GHz), 12 threads, from 208 euros already available * Ryzen 7 5700x (Vermeer), 8 cores (3.5-4.6 GHz), 16 threads, from 299 euros already available

All five processors have a memory connection suitable for DDR4-3200-RAM as well as a TDP of 65 watts. From the performance, it is likely to suggest that at least the three Ryzen 5000 models with their Zen 3 architecture according to their clock values in the already available Ryzen 5000-CPUs - the new Ryzen 5 5600 would be a little weaker than the Ryzen 5 5600x, but costs about 20 euros less. The new Ryzen 7 5700x in turn is about 40 euros cheaper than the Ryzen 7 5800x. Since the clock differences are rather small, the new models could indeed improve the price-performance structure at AMD - this was especially in the price range below 230 to 250 euros so far with Intel clearly better. For the weekend we are planning a special where we look at the price-performance ratio of current CPUs for gaming and take the new AMD processors under the microscope. The Ryzen 3 4100 will also be interesting, since Intel with the current Core i3 models has very strong CPUs for budget PCs in the price range of around 100 euros in the portfolio.
